Position Summary

The Facilities Manager is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to ensure exceptional service delivery to residents of the Catalyst Emergency Supportive Housing Program. This role oversees daily operations and manages both kitchen and maintenance teams. The Facilities Manager is vital to the program's success, ensuring that kitchen operations are efficient, compliant with regulations, and financially responsible. Additionally, this position supervises maintenance staff to guarantee that essential daily routines and tasks are completed effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the daily operations of the Catalyst Facilities.
  2. Provide training, supervision, and support to kitchen and maintenance staff to meet operational expectations.
  3. Ensure adequate staffing for kitchen and maintenance operations.
  4. Collaborate with the property management team to maintain the facility and address potential issues.
  5. Ensure staff adherence to program policies and procedures, utilizing performance reviews to reinforce accountability.
  6. Oversee operational data tracking and compliance using the agency's data management platform.
  7. Ensure proper food preparation and service in accordance with USDA standards.
  8. Manage inventory and assist in purchasing decisions for supplies and materials.
  9. Initiate and oversee bidding processes for external contractors as needed.
  10. Manage maintenance contracts and schedule inspections for compliance.
  11. Conduct monthly fire drills and implement additional safety drills as necessary.
  12. Maintain and update safety protocol manuals and binders.
  13. Process invoices in accordance with fiscal deadlines.
  14. Participate in after-hours on-call response as required.
  15. Support efforts to address social determinants of health in housing, ensuring services are trauma-informed.
  16. Advocate for systemic changes to improve the lives of low-income and homeless individuals.
  17. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance program effectiveness.
  18. Foster positive relationships with neighbors to promote a healthy community.
  19. Ensure confidentiality and security of client information in compliance with regulations.
  20. Utilize various communication methods and database practices as directed.
  21. Follow mandated reporting procedures for suspected abuse or neglect.
  22. Adhere to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine.
  23. Perform related advocacy functions to support the mission of Catholic Charities.
Qualifications

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience in maintenance/janitorial supervision and facility operations is essential.

Preferred Skills: Proficiency in building repair areas such as plumbing, drywall, electrical, HVAC, and kitchen operations.

Certificates/Licenses: Valid Driver's License required; must pass background check.

Physical and Mental Abilities

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking regularly. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary.

Work Environment

Employees may be exposed to moderate to loud noise levels, high and low temperatures, and various atmospheric conditions.
