Marketing Operations Manager

NATURE OF WORK:

This position is detail-oriented and involves professional responsibilities in providing comprehensive support for the Marketing Department, including collaboration with senior management and entertainment directors.

SUPERVISION:

Work is conducted under general supervision, with complex issues escalated to the supervisor. Reports directly to the Senior Marketing Manager and collaborates closely with the Director of Entertainment.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Manage and implement all creative and promotional initiatives within the Marketing Department to enhance the District's profile, its venues, and events.
  • Collaborate with senior marketing leadership, sales directors, and event promoters to design and oversee marketing and sales campaigns.
  • Act as the main liaison for events, ensuring effective communication and coordination of marketing information with stakeholders.
  • Partner with the Senior Marketing Manager to develop event-specific marketing strategies, including budget management, advertising procurement, and digital marketing coordination.
  • Assist in managing the annual Marketing Department budget through invoice processing and financial tracking.
  • Create and refine content for various audiences across multiple platforms, providing proofreading and editorial support as necessary.
  • Develop a communication strategy by crafting and distributing press releases and advisories, maintaining strong relationships with local media.
  • Work with the Event Management team to create messaging that addresses common guest inquiries across District venues.
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess audience needs and produce timely and relevant marketing materials.
  • Translate artistic direction from leadership into actionable marketing strategies within set timelines.
  • Coordinate promotional activities, including sales events and special programs aimed at attracting sponsors and groups.
  • Oversee all on-site design elements, ensuring effective implementation of promotional materials and signage.
  • Work alongside Graphic Designers to produce print and digital marketing collateral.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Coordinators and Digital Marketing Specialists to enhance marketing efforts and improve guest experiences.
  • Ensure that event rotations and requested content are accurately displayed in digital signage.
  • Support Group Sales initiatives in partnership with senior marketing and sponsorship management.
  • Assist in brand management and adherence to brand standards.
  • Utilize project management tools to oversee departmental operations, facilitating communication and ensuring task completion.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for support staff.
  • Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree and four years of experience in a public assembly facility or entertainment promotions role, with event experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of planning and executing advertising and promotional campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and project management software (Asana preferred).
  • Experience with media buying and marketing principles.
  • Ability to cultivate effective relationships with media for publicity purposes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex management challenges.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing procedures and event demands.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

This role requires the ability to communicate detailed information effectively. Physical demands include the ability to exert force to move objects and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

SALARY AND STATUS:

Salary range: $64,000 - $96,000, Exempt
