Seasonal Operations Position

This role is part-time or full-time during the seasonal period, with hours fluctuating based on the event calendar. Availability for weekends, evenings, and occasional overnight shifts is required.

Position Overview:
This is a temporary role, with weekly hours determined by event schedules, personal availability, attendance, and performance. Benefits are not included. To maintain eligibility for work throughout the season, a minimum of 8 hours must be worked per pay period.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of all necessary equipment for events, ensuring optimal use of the facility. This includes, but is not limited to, setups for stadium events, concerts, sports games, and meetings.
  • Conduct minor repairs and maintenance to ensure the cleanliness and functionality of facility structures and equipment.
  • Manage exterior maintenance tasks, including snow removal.
  • Plan and organize work tasks effectively.
  • Operate specialized equipment for facility setups and conversions, such as hand tools, forklifts, and various types of lifts.
  • May engage in skilled tasks across multiple building trades.
  • Enhance guest services for both internal staff and external event participants.
  • Work hours and duties will vary based on event needs.
  • Exercise independent judgment in decision-making as required.
  • Be prepared to work unconventional hours as assigned.
  • Complete additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
  • Preferred experience includes two years in building maintenance or custodial work, or two years of apprenticeship in carpentry, electrical, or metal trades.
  • General knowledge of tools and equipment used in maintenance and event setups.
  • Familiarity with facility operations, including sports flooring and seating arrangements.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform semi-skilled tasks independently.
  • Effective collaboration with colleagues and the public.
  • Capability to perform heavy manual labor and operate necessary tools and equipment.
