Role Summary:
The Assistant Facility Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Facility Manager across various operational aspects of the facility. This position is designed for individuals looking to develop their skills and advance to the Facility Manager role. Candidates must possess flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, and hold a valid driver’s license with personal auto insurance. A background check and driving record review will be conducted.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred. Candidates should have three to four years of experience in production or retail management, or a comparable combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience with a team of 25 or more employees is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Management:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all patrons.
- Assist in overseeing the effective processing and categorization of incoming donations, salvage items, E-Commerce, E-Cycle, and E-Waste.
- Ensure the facility meets production standards by efficiently sorting, preparing, and pricing items for sale, consistently achieving production goals.
- Maximize sales performance through effective stock management, display techniques, signage, and inventory control, ensuring sales targets are consistently met.
- Maintain a welcoming shopping environment by ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.
- Coordinate with Workforce Development and Social Services for client program support.
- Oversee the maintenance of the facility’s appearance, including cleanliness and functionality of all areas such as fitting rooms, cash registers, and restrooms.
- Assist in the upkeep of the exterior and parking lot, ensuring a clean and inviting entrance.
- Support the maintenance of a safe and orderly production area, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
Loss Prevention:
- Maintain a clean and safe facility, ensuring all safety protocols are understood and adhered to by staff.
- Report and address loss prevention issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure the security of the facility, including the proper functioning of locks, alarms, and cash handling procedures.
Additional Expectations:
- Be available for a flexible work schedule, including at least two evening shifts and two weekend shifts each month.
- Participate in mandatory management meetings and conduct monthly facility meetings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
