Position: Production Team Leader

Avance Consulting specializes in the manufacturing of high-purity Silicon Carbide (SiC) Ceramics materials and CMP Slurries tailored for the semiconductor sector. We also distribute a range of Electronics Materials produced in Japan and other locations. Our headquarters is situated in Hillsboro, Oregon, and we are a proud division of Flat Glass North America.

Role Responsibilities
Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant leadership experience in a production environment
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with organizational abilities
  • Capability to provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Effective decision-making and time management skills
  • Solid understanding of product quality standards and requirements
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Fundamental skills in reading blueprints required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and the semiconductor industry
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations regarding employment practices and safety

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist operators in resolving issues as they arise (Root Cause and Quality Concerns)
  • Optimize workflow to ensure efficient and safe utilization of resources and personnel
  • Lead 6S initiatives and promote continuous improvement within the team
  • Equip employees with the necessary training and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Foster productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., planning, quality assurance, vendors)
  • Manage time and attendance tasks for assigned team members, including maintaining accurate records and approving timecards
  • Ensure timely completion of performance reviews for new hires and existing employees, conducting regular one-on-one follow-ups and adjusting goals as needed
  • Conduct coaching and disciplinary actions as required
  • Develop team schedules and delegate tasks to maintain proper workflow
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs and ERP systems, tracking and monitoring employee performance through ERP data
