Position Title: Production Manager

Classification: Exempt

Key Responsibilities:

  • Involved in the recruitment and training of departmental leaders.
  • Coordinates and supervises the workflow and schedules of team leaders.
  • Conducts timely and constructive performance assessments.
  • Manages employee discipline and terminations in line with company policies.

Core Duties:

  • Accountable for all production personnel, including staffing, training, and evaluations.
  • Guide production leads to ensure compliance with schedules and quality benchmarks.
  • Enhance the utilization and efficiency of production resources and staff.
  • Collaborate with engineering to establish and uphold cost and time standards for projects.
  • Drive production efforts to achieve set time standards.
  • Work with scheduling to create and maintain production timelines.
  • Partner with the quality department to address product-related challenges and uphold quality performance objectives.
  • Advise management on improvements in processes, staffing, equipment, and facilities to support ongoing growth.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs to ensure timely completion and report issues as necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support the company's objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
  • Proficient in interpreting written English work instructions.
  • Expertise in generating and analyzing reports using Excel.
  • Effective communication skills are essential as this role interacts with executive management.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business preferred; experience may substitute for education.
  • At least 5 years of experience in production management within electronics assembly.
  • APICS certification is a plus.
