Production Supervisor - Operations Manager
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor - Operations Manager to join our team at Entegris. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring quality and efficiency, and leading a team of operators to achieve departmental production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Production Oversight: Ensure safe work practices and work closely with the EHS team to train and elevate a culture of safety within the team.
- Team Leadership: Provide staff training, guidance, and motivation to ensure effective performance. Address issues with staff with supportive documentation and adhere to Company policies and procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct timely corrective actions and employee performance reviews. Communicate effectively with the team regarding goals and expectations, as well as with other supervisors, engineers, and management to ensure operations are one cohesive unit.
- Process Improvement: Promote the use of Lean/Sigma Manufacturing concepts, including SPC, Kanban materials management, and 6S. Use PDCA, visual management, meeting customer demands through schedule attainment, and daily improvements to monitor and adjust production requirements and resources to ensure on-time shipment.
- Operational Excellence: Monitor production hour-by-hour performance and escalate issues. Implement and monitor continuous quality improvement activities, including waste and cost reduction, equipment, and tool efficiencies.
- Communication: Provide daily work direction to team members and act as the first point of contact regarding any issues that may arise on shift, including but not limited to, safety incidents, quality, personnel, etc.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, with a functional understanding of the specific production module and good understanding of all other modules within production.
- Leadership: Previous experience leading a team, with the ability to drive employee development, accountability, and engagement.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read and write in the English language.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, with five years of supervisory experience and experience with six sigma methodologies also preferred.
