Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a skilled team, translating directives from upper management to achieve organizational objectives and project goals.
  • Oversee projects in collaboration with the broader department, ensuring compliance with customer and product specifications.
  • Work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to less experienced team members.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives using ITW's 80/20 Tools to enhance processes and procedures.
  • Adjust daily schedules to meet weekly production targets.
  • Identify and address quality concerns on production lines, escalating issues to Supervisors as necessary.
  • Monitor team performance and attendance, reporting any concerns to Supervisors.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet departmental needs, alerting Supervisors to any supply shortages.
  • Create and manage training programs for new hires, tracking their progress and providing feedback to Supervisors.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace, verifying compliance with safety protocols and participating in safety investigations when required.
  • Engage in team meetings to promote ongoing improvements in processes, productivity, and quality.
  • Foster an inclusive environment where all team members feel respected and motivated to contribute to business success.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead teams while collaborating effectively across functions.
  • Capability to guide a team towards achieving set organizational goals and project success.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in problem-solving, identifying root causes, and developing corrective action plans.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sustainable results through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to nurture talent through effective coaching and mentoring.
  • Proficient in applying project management best practices and ITW Toolbox methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
  • Willingness to step in for department Supervisors as needed.
Additional Information:
  • This position is based in a manufacturing environment.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including steel-toed shoes and eye protection.
  • Regular physical activity is required, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 35 pounds.
