Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Manufacturing Operations Leader will provide essential guidance and support to the production leadership team, coordinating operations to meet production objectives and customer expectations.

This role emphasizes continuous improvement and cost reduction for the designated product line.

The Manufacturing Operations Leader will inspire, motivate, and develop team members to achieve outstanding results aligned with established targets through enhanced teamwork, effective communication, active listening, and driving transformative change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess operational labor requirements and equipment needs, implementing changes or recommendations as necessary for the assigned production line.
  • Analyze production and operational reports, addressing manufacturing challenges to minimize costs and prevent delays.
  • Facilitate and participate in weekly operational meetings.
  • Foster a culture that values employees as the most critical asset, ensuring team members are engaged and understand the Company/Plant Vision.
  • Encourage proactive communication and collaboration among team members to achieve results.
  • Ensure accountability and adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards by clearly communicating expectations.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of core business and manufacturing processes, prioritizing actions based on business needs and strategy.
  • Champion innovative ideas and motivate team members to explore new solutions for operational challenges.
  • Plan production activities, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing by reviewing daily reports and setting goals.
  • Oversee product line P&L, including profit margin objectives and process enhancements.

Department-Specific Functions:
  • Inspire and mentor both salaried leaders and hourly team members.
  • Identify and cultivate future leadership talent, enhancing overall team capabilities.
  • Make informed decisions regarding recruitment, promotions, and assessments, demonstrating the ability to make fair yet challenging decisions.
  • Address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and implement coaching or disciplinary actions in line with company policy.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a large manufacturing environment. Experience in food equipment is advantageous.
  • Project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication, capable of delivering presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards and OHSA is a plus.

Work Environment:
PPE required includes steel-toed shoes and eye protection in manufacturing settings.

While performing job duties, employees are regularly required to stand, bend, or stoop and frequently use hands and arms to walk. The role may involve occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds.
