Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a skilled team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and project goals.
  • Manage projects in collaboration with the broader department, providing direction based on customer and product requirements to maintain compliance with standards.
  • Work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives using ITW's 80/20 tools to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Adjust daily schedules to meet production targets.
  • Identify and address quality concerns on the production line, escalating issues to Supervisors as necessary.
  • Monitor team performance and attendance, reporting any discrepancies to Supervisors.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet departmental needs, alerting Supervisors to any shortages.
  • Develop and execute training programs for new hires, tracking their progress and communicating updates to Supervisors.
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment, verifying compliance with safety protocols and participating in incident investigations when required.
  • Engage in team meetings to promote ongoing process improvements, productivity enhancements, and quality assurance.
  • Foster a respectful workplace culture that values diversity and encourages individual contributions towards achieving business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead teams while collaborating effectively across functions.
  • Strong leadership skills to achieve established goals and drive project success.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and quality regulations.
  • Effective organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Demonstrated success in leading continuous improvement efforts and utilizing ITW Toolbox initiatives.
  • Skilled in talent development through coaching and mentoring.
  • Proficient in applying project management best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Willingness to step in for department Supervisors as needed.
