Role Summary

As an HR Generalist, you will play a vital role in supporting various Human Resource functions to achieve strategic and operational objectives. Your effective communication skills will be essential in liaising with Senior Management and different departments. Your expertise in employee relations and analytical skills will contribute significantly to HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure consistent application of all HR policies across the organization.
  • Provide objective coaching to associates and management on complex issues, including guidance on disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes for hourly positions.
  • Maintain and coordinate employee recognition programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Regularly analyze and review HR activity reports.
  • Support the interpretation and feedback process for internal customer and employee engagement surveys.
  • Enhance HR visibility by attending departmental meetings and conducting training sessions.
  • Review requests for pay adjustments to ensure internal equity and process necessary forms.
  • Prepare and present HR-related training and topics.
  • Champion diversity initiatives, including recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Assist in developing Personal Development Plans for associates.
  • Participate in the Annual Performance Appraisal process.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a generalist HR role; management experience is a plus.
  • Experience in a large, multi-unit organization is required.
  • Prior experience in a centralized HR environment, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; advanced skills are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience in addressing inquiries or complaints from various stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation skills are essential.
  • Training certifications (e.g., Zenger-Miller, Stephen Covey) are a plus.
