Position Overview

The Exercise Operations Coordinator will play a pivotal role in facilitating exercise planning for military operations from Division to Theater levels. This position entails a comprehensive responsibility for the operational aspects, activities, and actions associated with exercise operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise Coordination: Oversee all facets of exercise operations, including design, planning, preparation, execution, and analysis, ensuring collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Manage multi-dimensional projects effectively, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex scenarios.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage both military and civilian personnel, ensuring effective communication and coordination among team members.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a BA or BS degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Graduate of a U.S. military staff college.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in planning across various timeframes while managing groups of military and civilian personnel.
  • Two years of experience in Joint, bilateral, and Combined operations, with a focus on U.S. Army doctrine and methodologies.
  • Experience in preparing scenarios and control structures for large-scale, multi-simulation-driven exercises.
  • Proficiency in utilizing computer simulation models to enhance exercise effectiveness.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel unaccompanied to various training locations.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain necessary clearances.
