Position Overview:

U.S. Soccer is in search of a Lead Retail Strategy Manager to join our esteemed team. This role is pivotal in propelling the expansion of soccer in the U.S. and will play a significant part in our commercial operations. The primary focus will be on managing our partnership with the agency responsible for overseeing U.S. Soccer's digital and event retail.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:

Strategic Planning:

  • Formulate a comprehensive strategy for U.S. Soccer's retail operations, setting revenue targets and customer engagement strategies.
  • Research and adopt best practices for a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Oversee the development and execution of annual promotional strategies, including seasonal marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with partners to devise match day strategies aimed at maximizing merchandise sales, enhancing fan experience, and driving revenue.

Management and Execution:

  • Supervise product assortment planning, keeping abreast of market trends and identifying opportunities.
  • Ensure effective communication between partners, licensees, and internal teams.
  • Maintain regular communication with partners regarding retail operations and promotional activities.
  • Implement digital marketing strategies for online retail, utilizing various channels for promotion.

Performance Measurement:

  • Forecast and achieve annual financial goals and fan engagement metrics.
  • Establish qualitative objectives for retail operations and monitor performance.
  • Develop a reporting framework for U.S. Soccer's retail business.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in retail operations or related sectors, with a strong passion for soccer and sports.
  • Excellent analytical skills, capable of interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
