Museum Education Program Advisor

Job Type: Project-Based Consulting Role

Location: On-site

Position Summary: We are seeking a Museum Education Program Advisor to partner with our client on a project basis. The client is a prestigious museum committed to the preservation and exhibition of historical artifacts and art. In this capacity, you will be instrumental in crafting and refining educational initiatives that captivate museum visitors across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Design: Develop creative and interactive educational resources and activities that align with the museum's exhibitions and educational objectives.
  • Workshop Leadership: Facilitate engaging workshops and guided tours for school groups, families, and other visitors to enrich their learning experiences.
  • Program Assessment: Gather participant feedback, assess program success, and propose enhancements for future initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with museum personnel and educators to seamlessly integrate educational programs into the overall visitor experience.
  • Community Engagement: Establish partnerships with educational institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote educational efforts.
  • Professional Growth: Remain informed about best practices in museum education and participate in relevant training sessions or conferences.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in museum education, curriculum design, or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Museum Studies, Education, Art History, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for art, history, and education, with a dedication to fostering a love of learning among diverse audiences.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging and inspiring diverse audiences.
