Position Summary

The **Tessitura Applications Administrator** oversees all enterprise applications, including but not limited to Tessitura, NetSuite, ADP, and associated database management. Collaborating with HelpDesk personnel, this role serves as the primary support for users facing application and database challenges. The administrator is also tasked with user training and the creation of user and technical documentation as necessary. Reporting directly to the VP of IT, this position supports users in their reporting, data, and analytics needs while ensuring data integrity. Close collaboration with the Infrastructure team is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Management:

  • Provide continuous administrative support for application software and database systems.
  • Assist various departments in integrating Tessitura with other applications and the Museum's digital platforms.
  • Execute essential database administrator tasks, including writing PL/SQL and SQL scripts, managing backups, and ensuring overall database health.
  • Collaborate with Tessitura stakeholders from departments such as Visitor Services, Marketing, Institutional Advancement, Education, and Finance to research, plan, implement, and troubleshoot Tessitura upgrades, including developing use cases for testing and staff training.
  • Update system tables as required.
  • Act as the Help Desk contact for issues related to enterprise applications.
  • Coordinate and schedule webinars provided by Tessitura and other partners.
  • Serve as the technical lead for the Tessitura Version 16 upgrade.
  • Function as a company-wide resource for training and support regarding Enterprise Applications and databases.
  • Engage with external application users through forums on the Network's website.
  • Assist users in implementing innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Execute SQL queries and updates as necessary.
  • Take a proactive role in the adoption of new technologies related to enterprise applications and databases.
  • Represent the Museum in a professional manner.
  • Attend relevant conferences as permitted.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in technology and their potential applications at the Museum.
  • Collaborate with all application stakeholders to create a roadmap for future application implementations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 3 years of extensive experience with Tessitura.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience working with or integrating ticketing systems.
  • Preferred knowledge of analytics, report writing, and program development.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in researching, developing, and implementing online and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to translate technical issues for end users and convert user requirements into technical specifications.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven capacity to multitask, perform well under pressure, and lead team members.
  • Technical knowledge of PC and web environments and optimization techniques.
