With a strong presence at international institutions such as the United Nations and UNESCO, the SWC operates various educational initiatives aimed at fostering understanding and respect among diverse communities.
Role Summary:
The Program Manager for the Mobile Museums of Tolerance (MMOT) in New York will collaborate closely with the Associate Director of Education to enhance the effectiveness and outreach of the MMOT programs.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate is an educational leader with a deep commitment to human rights advocacy, community engagement, and educational outreach. Your expertise in management and operational oversight will be crucial in supervising educators who deliver the MMOT programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and assessment of MMOT programs in New York.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all documentation related to program funding and reporting.
- Maintain the Master Calendar for program scheduling.
- Uphold high standards of quality control across all educational initiatives.
- Provide support and substitute delivery for program components as necessary.
- Serve as a liaison between program participants and educational staff.
- Guide and support Coordinators and Education Associates to ensure timely and accurate work.
- Contribute to the creation of innovative educational programs.
- Engage in follow-up activities, including program evaluations and communication with stakeholders.
- Conduct outreach to educational institutions to encourage participation in programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Education.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in curriculum and program development for K-12 education.
- Experience in creating and delivering thematic lesson plans.
- Strong skills in presentation and group facilitation.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new software.
- Must reside in the New York area.
