Role Summary:

The Program Manager for the Mobile Museums of Tolerance (MMOT) in New York will collaborate closely with the Associate Director of Education at the Museum of Tolerance NY to enhance the effectiveness and reach of the MMOT initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is an educational leader with a strong commitment to human rights, community engagement, and diversity. Your expertise in management and operational processes will be essential in overseeing the educators who deliver the MMOT educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, development, and execution of MMOT programs in New York.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all documentation related to grant reporting and program details.
  • Maintain the Master Calendar for all scheduled programs.
  • Uphold high standards of quality control across all programs.
  • Provide support and substitute as necessary during program delivery.
  • Act as a liaison between program participants and educational staff.
  • Guide and support Coordinators and Education Associates to ensure timely and accurate work.
  • Contribute to the creation of new educational programs.
  • Conduct follow-up activities, including program evaluations and ongoing communication.
  • Engage with educational institutions and organizations to encourage participation.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Education.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in curriculum and program development for K-12 education.
  • Experience in creating and delivering thematic lesson plans.
  • Strong skills in presentation and group facilitation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and tasks.
  • Proficient in working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Highly motivated with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn project management software.
  • Must reside in the New York area.
