Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of daily public relations functions
  • Design and implement media strategies focused on publicity
  • Evaluate and address media inquiries
  • Oversee on-site media activities including film and television productions, interviews, and other related events
  • Compose press releases, media alerts, and key messaging documents
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media representatives
  • Coordinate media presence during significant Museum events
  • Create engaging content for diverse communication channels
  • Draft, revise, and verify content in accordance with the Museum's editorial standards
  • Track industry developments and monitor coverage of the Museum
  • Act as a public relations liaison for senior advisors
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in public relations or a related field
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficient in event planning and media relations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Preferred educational background: BA/BS in communications or a related discipline
