Business Development Manager

Amazon's Seller Recruitment and Business Development organization is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead the recruitment of sustainable selling partners.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cold calling, prospecting, and qualifying companies, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach.
The BDM will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within the senior management and executive teams of prospective accounts, as well as internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
The successful candidate will have a strong analytical skills, including Microsoft Excel, and be able to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize sales funnels using data to inform decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify, acquire, and grow sustainable businesses selling on Amazon
- Analyze customer data and make recommendations to maximize the potential of assigned territory
- Implement and track metrics for recording the success and quality of sellers in the territory
- Manage complex partnerships and contract negotiations, and serve as a liaison to the legal team
- Prospect and close business to achieve quarterly quota targets for both quantity and quality of sellers recruited
Requirements:
- 5+ years of successful enterprise-class sales experience, preferably in the e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS, or software industries
- Extensive experience in cold calling, prospecting, and qualifying companies
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach
- Experience managing executive-level relationships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize sales funnels using data to inform decisions

Compensation:
The base pay for this position ranges from $62,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $132,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
