Federal Business Development Manager

Select Computing, Inc. is a leading provider of IT solutions and staffing to the State of MN, the State of MD, and many Federal Gov't agencies.
We are seeking a skilled Federal Business Development Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and capturing discrete single-award federal opportunities that book at least $2 million in new business per year.
About the Role
The successful candidate will report to our CEO and work closely with our CIO to expand our three-year pipeline of federal business opportunities in the civilian, defense, and homeland security market segments.
Main Responsibilities
- Pipeline Management: Work with our CEO and CIO to develop and manage a robust pipeline of federal business opportunities.
- Customer Relationships: Establish and maintain trusted relationships with federal customers, contract managers, small business officers, industry partners, and prospective key personnel.
- Marketing and Sales: Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns to grow and manage our customer target list.
- Proposal Development: Contribute technical insights to help our proposal management team produce compliant responses to federal solicitations and requests for information.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with our company's growth strategy.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in successfully selling software and/or services to the federal government.
- Sales Skills: Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, ability to quickly cultivate relationships with federal customers.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in business administration or similar field.
Salary and Benefits
This is a Remote position, but may require some travel to meetings. The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
