Responsibilities

Open Sky supports adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities referred by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Our mission is to provide safe, nurturing homes that cater to the individual's personal needs and preferences. Each individual in our residential program is encouraged to engage actively in community life, whether through volunteering, attending classes, participating in group outings, or joining a health club. Our dedicated staff ensures that individuals have the necessary supports and skills to build a successful and satisfying life in the community, enabling them to lead meaningful and active lives.

The Residential Support Specialist assists individuals diagnosed with a Developmental Disability in living as independently as possible while providing evidence-based treatment and care within a group living environment. They offer guidance, support, and assist with various activities of daily living. By implementing procedures that ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals, counselors help individuals maintain a healthy, productive, and independent lifestyle. Counselors advocate strongly for the individuals served, believing in the power of community and the importance of community integration.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing individualized, person-centered treatment plans and take a lead role in daily implementation.
  • Implement all procedures that ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the physical site.
  • Assist individuals in accessing and/or providing transportation.
  • Review and complete all required documentation.


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, required.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record, required.
  • Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.


Compensation details: 18.25 Hourly Wage
