Position Overview: The Regional Sales Executive will oversee and cultivate the business unit within a designated geographic area. This role encompasses wholesaler relations, account oversight, team leadership, event management, and strategic sales initiatives. As the head of the Southeast Division, this position will be pivotal in steering all operational facets of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the execution of company goals, policies, and practices in collaboration with distributor partners.
  • Lead and develop a dedicated sales team, ensuring alignment with annual performance targets.
  • Take a proactive role in launching key initiatives in the spirits and beverage sector with distributors and retailers.
  • Organize and facilitate sales meetings, training sessions, promotional events, and product tastings.
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key distributors and retail entities.
  • Engage in field sales activities, dedicating 2-3 days weekly to direct selling alongside wholesalers.
  • Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including weekends and extended hours as necessary.
  • Utilize data analytics to uncover opportunities for distribution expansion, sales recovery, and volume growth.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards set by Kuraray America, Inc. across all distribution channels.
  • Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, fostering an environment of open communication and respect for all employees.
  • Adhere to legal regulations governing product distribution in each market.

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the beverage or spirits industry, preferably in a supplier or regional capacity.
  • Experience with distributors and wholesalers is advantageous.
  • Proven personnel management experience.
  • Strong background in forecasting and budget management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the spirits and beverage industry is essential.
  • Established relationships within the region are a plus.
  • Experience with chain retail operations is beneficial.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the three-tier distribution system.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with distributors and key decision-makers.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Certifications in spirits and beverages are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong presentation abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills.

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate must be able to perform essential duties effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. This role requires the ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 55 pounds occasionally. Extended periods of standing and the ability to travel to various industry events are also required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will oversee two Territory Managers.
