Position Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Culinary Manager who will support our Executive Chef in meal preparation, menu implementation, and overseeing food production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take on all Executive Chef duties during their absence.
  • Contribute to menu design and development.
  • Help maintain inventory levels across all food and beverage areas in line with departmental guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to food ordering, receiving, and inventory management protocols.
  • Adjust kitchen schedules to guarantee management presence during shifts to uphold customer service standards.
  • Conduct inspections of food storage and service areas to ensure compliance with safety, security, and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date standard operating procedure manuals covering menu item preparation, safety, purchasing, receiving, stocking, requisitioning, and internal audit processes.
  • Address guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and urgency.
  • Keep accurate analytical data throughout the year to assist in budgeting and planning.
  • Participate in required departmental manager meetings.
  • Supervise and guide team members in food preparation, portioning, and garnishing to ensure adherence to prescribed methods.
  • Prepare and serve dishes during peak times and for special events.
Supervisory Duties
Responsible for fulfilling supervisory duties in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. This includes interviewing, hiring, and training kitchen staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; and resolving complaints and issues.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a Sous Chef.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
