We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook I to join our culinary team at Marriott International Inc. As a Pastry Cook I, you will be responsible for preparing special meals and substituting items, regulating oven temperatures, and maintaining food logs.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
- Assist in the preparation of cold foods and ensure the quality of food items.
- Communicate with the culinary team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Inform the chef of excess food items for use in daily specials and inform food and beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items.
- Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
- At least 3 years of related work experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
