Job Summary
The Radiologic Imaging Specialist provides essential healthcare services by utilizing x-ray technology to assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting radiographic procedures and producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
  • Exercising professional judgment while adhering to medical ethics and ensuring appropriate patient care.
  • Recognizing patient conditions critical for the successful completion of imaging procedures.
  • Applying knowledge of growth and development principles to meet age-specific patient and family needs.
  • Participating in the delivery of patient-specific care standards and maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Required: Graduate of an accredited radiology program recognized by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or an equivalent military training program.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology.
Experience:
One year of experience as a Radiologic Imaging Specialist is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:
Must possess a Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with the Texas Medical Board and be a registered technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
