Role Purpose:
The Grants and Compliance Manager is essential for the organization's success and sustainability, overseeing all facets of grant management. This position is focused on cultivating robust relationships with key funding partners, leading development communications, and ensuring the timely delivery of critical proposals and reports. The role also involves collaboration with various departments to align grant activities with the organization's objectives and spearheading special projects that further the mission and culture of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Oversight:
- Administer all elements of incoming and outgoing grants, ensuring adherence to funder stipulations and organizational policies.
- Coordinate with the finance team regarding fund distribution to grantees, ensuring prompt and precise disbursements.
- Assess and monitor grant performance, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to funders.
- Contract Oversight:
- Lead the grants and contracts lifecycle.
- Draft, manage, and oversee agreements to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of subgranting and contracting in relevant systems and tools.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure payment disbursement and report any instances of non-compliance.
- Propose policies related to subgranting or contracting to support the organization’s goals and compliance with regulations.
- Review strategies for addressing complex grant or contract management challenges.
- Serve as a point of contact for contractors and subgrantees, providing policy guidance as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Prepare and submit necessary regulatory documentation.
- Assist the General Counsel in ensuring compliance with REFORM policies and standards.
- Engage with various external regulatory entities.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive records and documentation database.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration:
- Work with other departments to collect information and provide updates on grant-related initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with finance and program teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective program execution.
- Cultural Contribution:
- Enhance the organization’s culture by fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Actively engage in organizational initiatives and support colleagues as necessary.
- Special Projects:
- Oversee the coordination of special projects.
- Manage additional projects as assigned by the General Counsel, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business Administration).
- At least 5 years of experience in grant management, fundraising, or a related area.
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and managing funder relationships.
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Experience in managing special projects is advantageous.
Required Skills:
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex grant requirements, budgets, and financial reports.
- High attention to detail in managing grants, proposals, and reporting obligations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and persuasively.
- Proficient in prioritizing tasks, managing time efficiently, and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proactive in identifying challenges and developing innovative solutions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Zoom Grants and Salesforce.
- Experience in grant writing.
Compensation: Salary range: $85,000-$105,000
