The project:

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking grant compliance manager - rail/infrastructure to join our established and growing team in New York.

You will lead the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
You will be the relationship owner and primary contact for Mace executive team engagement, and responsible for ensuring efficient governance to achieve our strategic priorities.
You will be responsible for key client relationship management and converting the client's vision into a deliverable onsite plan.

You will provide expert technical advice and leadership support to Delivery Teams, creating a culture of ownership, promoting roles and responsibilities.

You'll be responsible for:

Grant Compliance and Policy Implementation

Policy Development and Implementation: Developing and implementing comprehensive grant compliance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational requirements.

Grant Management and Monitoring

Grant Execution: Ensuring successful execution of grant-funded projects, meeting all compliance requirements and staying within planned timelines and budget constraints.
Monitoring and Reporting: Establishing robust monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track grant performance, ensuring compliance with all grant terms and conditions.

Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement

Data-Driven Insights: Evaluating data from audits, compliance reviews, and performance reports to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in grant management practices.
Continuous Improvement Plans: Developing and implement continuous improvement plans to enhance grant compliance and management processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Training

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with program managers, finance, legal, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive compliance with grant requirements across all projects.
Stakeholder Training: Providing training and guidance to staff and stakeholders on grant compliance requirements and best practices to ensure organizational adherence.

Risk Management and Audit Readiness

Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identifying potential compliance risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize exposure and ensure adherence to grant terms.
Audit Preparedness: Ensuring the organization is prepared for internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records and documentation of grant activities and compliance measures.

Supplier and Partner Management

Partner Compliance: Managing relationships with partners and sub-recipients, ensuring their compliance with grant terms and conditions through regular monitoring and support.
Quality Assurance: Ensuring all partner engagements meet the organization's standards for compliance and efficiency.

Industry Knowledge and Innovation

Latest Regulations and Trends: Staying up to date with the latest regulations, trends, and best practices in grant compliance, applying new insights to enhance compliance strategies and practices.

Strategic Leadership

Grant Compliance Strategy Execution: Directing the strategic development and execution of grant compliance initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving transformational change in grant management practices.

Financial Accountability

Budget Compliance: Ensuring all grant-funded activities are performed within budget constraints, maintaining financial accountability and transparency.
Financial Reporting: Overseeing the preparation and submission of accurate financial reports to grantors, ensuring timely and compliant financial disclosures.

Environmental Responsibility

Sustainable Practices: Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, proactively identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during grant-funded project delivery.

You'll need to have:

Proven experience in reporting, data analysis, and presentation development.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Suite, MS Project, Primavera P6 Scheduling Software).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders.
Authorization to work in the United States.

You'll also have:

NJT, MNRR, LIRR, NYCT, and MTA experience are preferred.
Bachelor's degree in finance, business management, or a related field. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience in grant management for federally funded multibillion dollar capital construction projects, programs, and/or portfolios.
Experience in the construction industry.
