About the Role

The Grants Financial Coordinator plays a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the grants administration process at the Mount Sinai Health System. This position is responsible for assisting in the submission of new grant proposals and non-competitive renewals, as well as coordinating subcontracts and award notices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Collection and Management: Responsible for collecting and managing all relevant data for grant proposals and renewals.
  • Liaison and Collaboration: Serves as a liaison among investigators, consultants, sub-contractors, and the institution to facilitate the grant process.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Assists in the creation, implementation, and revision of department policies and procedures related to grants administration.
  • Subcontract and Award Coordination: Coordinates subcontracts and award notices, as well as prepares support pages, enters data, and manages files.
  • Interdepartmental Liaison: Liaises between the grants and contract offices, the IRB, finance, Info Ed, and Principle Investigators and their research staff.
  • Grant Administration and Budgeting: Assists in grant administration, budget review, and preparation, including complex program project grants.
  • Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Experience: 0-1 years of related experience, with additional experience preferred, as well as specific experience in grant guidelines and policy.
