Your responsibilities will include supporting the assembly processes for the New Glenn rocket, a cutting-edge heavy-lift launch vehicle designed for routine missions to Earth orbit and beyond.

In this role, you will lead the creation of the manufacturing bill of materials, develop work instructions, and ensure design for manufacturability. You will also manage non-conformance processes and establish process specifications.

Throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, you will identify and implement strategies to enhance quality, reduce costs, and streamline build sequences and schedules.

We seek an individual who can leverage their technical knowledge, uphold quality standards, and make a meaningful impact on the safety of human spaceflight.

Qualifications:
  • Availability to support one of the following shifts: Monday-Friday 3 PM - 1 AM, Friday-Sunday 6 AM-6:30 PM, or Thursday-Sunday 6 AM-4:30 PM.

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering (or a related field) from an accredited institution is required.

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing and manufacturing engineering.

Experience in hardware manufacturing across various systems, including structures, fluid systems, mechanical systems, or avionics systems, is essential. This includes assembly, integration, testing, and quality assurance processes.

Your role will involve developing clear manufacturing work instructions that outline fabrication, assembly, testing, integration, and refurbishment processes.

You will closely monitor quality, build sequences, and schedules throughout the manufacturing journey.

Additional responsibilities include reviewing engineering drawings and providing final approval for manufacturing, defining repair and rework activities, and conducting root cause analyses for non-conformances.

Understanding of engineering principles related to mechanical design and manufacturing, including GD&T, is crucial.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with proficiency in software tools (CAD, Scheduling, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) are necessary.

Experience in developing processes that comply with industry quality standards such as AS9100 is preferred.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or legally admitted refugees or asylees.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to support production floor activities.
  • Capability to climb stairs and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong background in assembly, composites, and aerospace.
  • Familiarity with surface coating, cleaning, and materials.
  • Experience with aircraft, launch vehicle, spacecraft, or satellite development.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Creo Pro/E & Catia preferred).
