Role Overview
This position plays a crucial role in shaping the future of space exploration and demands meticulous attention to safety and repeatability in spaceflight operations.

As a Senior Operations Project Leader within the Lunar Operations Program Management (OPM) team, you will report directly to the Senior Manager of the Mark 2 Crew Lander OPM.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee operations for a specific subset of the Blue Moon MK2 Crew Lunar Lander subsystems.

You will collaborate closely with the Lunar Integrated Product Team (IPT) subsystem leads to orchestrate operations support for engineering design and hardware development.

Your role will also involve managing the integrated product team segments of the master schedule and ensuring these are effectively incorporated into the tactical operations timeline.

Utilizing your technical expertise, you will communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (Lunar Program, OPM, and PPC) to prioritize tasks that align with program and operational requirements.

Furthermore, you will coordinate with operations support teams to forecast, plan, and prioritize tasks specifically for the Lunar business unit IPTs.


Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with IPT leads, Operations Program Managers, and manufacturing engineering to plan and achieve development, operations, and testing milestones for MK2 Lunar Vehicles.
2. Forecast and maintain operational schedules, manpower, and budgetary requirements through effective coordination with production control.
3. Work alongside manufacturing engineering to define and prioritize operational support efforts.
4. Manage supplier relationships and subcontracting as necessary.
5. Partner with purchasing and supplier management to ensure timely delivery of hardware and production equipment.
6. Contribute to the annual and multi-year planning initiatives for the overall team.
7. Support reporting metrics and cadence as required.
8. Capture and communicate key metrics to the Lunar Permanence business unit.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, or similar) from an accredited institution.
- Over 6 years of experience in the aerospace sector, particularly in program/project management and business management within development or production environments.
- Proven experience in planning complex aerospace integrated assemblies.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a passion for space systems.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to build trust and maintain positive, professional relationships while fostering an inclusive culture.
- Familiarity with Primavera, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering or project management from an accredited institution.
- Project Management Professional Certification.
- More than 9 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing setting.
