Role Overview:
We are seeking a committed leader to guide a team of GS1 Integration Manufacturing Engineers and Planners, focused on the electrical design, manufacturing, and testing processes for the New Glenn rocket assembly. This position is pivotal in shaping the operational plans for reusability and will report directly to the Senior Manager of GS1 Integration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the daily execution of scheduled and unscheduled integration tasks, ensuring adherence to operational performance metrics.
2. Lead and mentor manufacturing engineers, maintaining control over production processes.
3. Ensure the availability of adequately trained personnel for all integration activities.
4. Promote a culture prioritizing safety and compliance.
5. Engage with various departments to ensure alignment on mission objectives.
6. Contribute to the development of procedural manuals and operational processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Over 10 years of direct experience in manufacturing and engineering roles.
- Minimum of 5 years in a technical management or supervisory capacity.
- Strong background in avionics, structures, and powerplant systems.
- Proven safety mindset with hands-on experience in critical operations.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and industry best practices.
- Experience in developing and updating operational procedures.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
- Proficiency in engineering software tools.
