As advocates for guest experience, we prioritize welcoming, thanking, and exceeding service expectations through focused guest interactions and recovery efforts. We promote both in-store and digital services, ensuring our guests are informed about features that enhance their loyalty. The role of a Guest Advocate equips you with valuable skills and experiences, including:
- Engaging and communicating with guests to foster an inclusive experience
- Utilizing problem-solving and decision-making skills to enhance guest satisfaction and address concerns
- Adapting to diverse guest interactions and scenarios
- Promoting and discussing various benefits, offerings, and services
As a Service Advocate, your daily responsibilities may include:
- Fostering a service-oriented culture that prioritizes guest experience by adhering to service standards
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere by genuinely greeting all guests
- Observing guest cues to assess their needs and tailor your approach accordingly
- Engaging with guests authentically, asking questions to better understand their needs
- Being knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to resolve guest issues
- Expressing gratitude to guests for choosing to shop with us
- Efficiently scanning and bagging guest items while adhering to safety standards
- Minimizing guest wait times while maintaining service quality and accuracy
- Informing guests about current and upcoming promotions and events
- Explaining the benefits of loyalty programs and assisting with sign-ups
- Demonstrating the use of the Target App and its features
- Understanding fulfillment services and guiding guests in their use
- Processing returns and partnering with leaders to resolve issues
- Collaborating with leaders to de-escalate negative situations and enhance the guest experience
- Providing accurate service for Order Pick Up and Drive Up guests
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Restocking supplies while remaining available for guest assistance
- Upholding a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Working safely and identifying hazards to ensure a secure environment
- Supporting guest services such as order pick up and Drive Up, while adhering to compliance regulations
- Performing additional duties as required by business needs
