DSG is looking for a dedicated Sales Support Specialist to join our team. This full-time, hourly role involves working primarily during standard business hours, typically from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility based on operational requirements. As a Sales Support Specialist, your primary focus will be on enhancing our plumbing and HVAC sales through various responsibilities within the sales department.

Key Responsibilities of a Sales Support Specialist:

  • Act as the main point of contact for customer orders.
  • Assist clients with inquiries regarding products in a professional manner.
  • Accurately process and fulfill orders in a timely fashion.
  • Generate and follow up on customer quotations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve customer service issues promptly.
  • Maintain the sales area by restocking products according to brand and location.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage damaged goods.
  • Ensure a clean and attractive display area for products.
  • Encourage the sale of additional products as appropriate.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications for a Successful Sales Support Specialist:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A collaborative mindset, willing to support fellow team members.
  • Product knowledge typically gained through two or more years of college or technical training, or 3-5 years of relevant field experience in plumbing and/or HVAC.
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills across various platforms (in-person, phone, and email).
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong listening skills to accurately assess customer needs.
  • Proficient problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • High level of computer proficiency, with experience in ERP systems preferred.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and organize tasks.
  • Physical capability to frequently lift and handle items weighing between 30-70 pounds.
