Sentry is in search of a dedicated and skilled Registered Architect. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in project design across various building types and construction projects. This role involves steering the design phase, creating construction documents, collaborating with project managers, and ensuring that all projects align with budgetary constraints and client expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct the design journey from initial concept through to construction documentation, liaising closely with clients, consultants, and team members.
- Establish and uphold project timelines, financial plans, and construction documentation.
- Supervise and facilitate construction administration, which includes reviewing shop drawings and performing site inspections.
- Guarantee compliance with building codes, regulations, and zoning laws.
- Work in partnership with clients, engineers, and contractors to address design challenges and ensure construction aligns with design specifications.
- Lead project teams and provide mentorship to junior personnel.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project discussions.
- Maintain precise project documentation and ensure project files are current.
- Engage in regular communication with clients and team members to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Continuously enhance the design and documentation processes to improve efficiency and quality.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design and project oversight.
- Licensed Architect in South Dakota or eligible to obtain licensure within 6 months of employment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit software.
- Strong design and technical capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience with commercial, institutional, and/or residential building types is preferred.
- LEED Accreditation is advantageous.
