Position Overview

Dakota Supply Group is in search of a Field Sales Account Executive to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a full-time, salary plus commission environment, where the work schedule typically aligns with standard business hours, Monday through Friday, but may occasionally vary based on business demands and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Field Sales Account Executive, your daily activities will include:

  • Traveling within a designated area to establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service and support.
  • Collaborating with our Inside Sales team to identify and implement strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and drive growth.
  • Proactively seeking and developing new business opportunities.
  • Introducing and demonstrating new products and marketing initiatives to clients.
  • Communicating with management regarding shifts in product demand and customer needs.
  • Facilitating the customer ordering process, which includes managing orders, addressing inquiries, and suggesting improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Field Sales Account Executive position will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a postsecondary degree is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Technical knowledge typically gained through two or more years of college or technical training, or 3-5 years of relevant field experience in plumbing and/or HVAC.
  • Proven sales skills with a successful track record in territory management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales role.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A keen attention to detail and strong follow-through skills.
  • Familiarity with plumbing/HVAC software and programs to assist clients with designs and rebates.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and the ability to guide clients in their usage.
  • Strong time management skills.
