ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT

As advocates for guest satisfaction, we prioritize welcoming, thanking, and surpassing guest service expectations through focused interactions and effective resolutions. Our team is well-versed in both in-store and digital services, ensuring guests are informed about features that enhance their shopping experience and foster loyalty. We are empowered to streamline the shopping process for guests at various service points while maintaining exceptional quality.

The role of a Guest Advocate equips you with valuable skills and experiences, including:

  • Engaging and communicating with guests to foster an inclusive experience
  • Utilizing problem-solving and decision-making skills to enhance guest satisfaction and address concerns
  • Adapting to diverse guest interactions and scenarios
  • Promoting various benefits, offerings, and services to guests

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify a service-oriented culture that prioritizes guest experience by adhering to service standards
    • Greet all guests warmly to create a welcoming atmosphere
    • Observe guest behavior to identify needs and tailor interactions accordingly
    • Engage with guests authentically, asking questions to better understand their requirements
    • Possess comprehensive knowledge of store tools, products, and services to resolve guest issues effectively
    • Express genuine gratitude to guests for choosing to shop with us
  • Efficiently scan and bag guest items while adhering to food safety protocols and company best practices
  • Work diligently to minimize guest wait times while ensuring service quality and accuracy
  • Inform guests about current and upcoming promotions, store events, and activities
  • Educate guests on the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up processes
  • Guide guests in utilizing the Target App and its features
  • Familiarize guests with fulfillment services and assist with enrollment and activation
  • Handle returns and follow register prompts, collaborating with leaders to resolve guest issues while adhering to policies
  • Assist in de-escalating negative situations and restoring the guest experience in line with company policies
  • Provide seamless service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
  • Maintain a tidy and organized work area, including managing abandoned items
  • Restock supplies during operational hours while remaining available to assist guests
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • Work safely at all times, identifying and correcting hazards while adhering to safety protocols
  • Support guest services such as order pick up and Drive Up, ensuring compliance with relevant laws
  • Perform additional duties as required based on business needs
