Job Overview

The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for steering and supervising the comprehensive policies, objectives, and strategies of the organization's revenue cycle operations to enhance the financial interactions of patients throughout their care journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate, strategize, and execute both current and future initiatives aimed at billing clients, processing payments, reducing bad debt, enhancing cash flow, and overseeing the overall health of the organization's receivables.
  • Act as a consultant to Senior Management, Operations Directors, Billing Managers, and team members regarding revenue cycle performance metrics.
  • Oversee all functions related to revenue cycle efficiency to achieve immediate strategic objectives.
  • Design strategic plans and programs for the Revenue Cycle process, ensuring that targets and objectives are clearly defined and established.
  • Create policies, guidelines, and procedures while ensuring consistent implementation across the organization.
  • Direct the processes of registration, patient insurance, billing, collections, and data management to guarantee accurate patient billing, scheduling, and effective account collection.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and quality benchmarks for receptionists, patient service representatives, and business office teams.
  • Enhance and standardize workflow processes throughout the revenue cycle to maintain consistency in achieving the critical success factors outlined in the company's standard operating procedures.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of collection strategies and ensure that insurance billings are maintained within the established timeframes set by departmental policies.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare management, including but not limited to clinic management, patient management, and accounts receivable.
Skills and Competencies
  • A robust background in financial management with a comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulations related to healthcare management.
  • Proficiency in Athena EMR, as well as Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
