Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the financial forecasting and reporting of a multi-site Region. The successful candidate will provide insight and analysis of financial operating results, identifying trends and making recommendations for various profitability drivers, including operations expense management and inventory shrinkage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine Key Drivers of Operations Expense Variances: Identify the primary causes of operations expense variances versus plan and last year's results.
  • Identify Underperforming Customers: Analyze customer performance and make recommendations to drive profitability.
  • Provide Financial Analysis: Offer specific analysis on the key drivers of operational expense variances to plan and last year.
  • Recruit, Train, and Manage Inventory Control Manager: Participate in the recruitment, training, and management of the Inventory Control Manager.
  • Recruit, Train, and Manage Finance Associate and Cashier: Participate in the recruitment, training, and management of the finance associate and cashier.
  • Reduce Operational and Non-Operational Shrink: Work with the Inventory team to identify opportunities to reduce operational and non-operational shrink.
  • Quantify Financial Impact of Key Initiatives: Analyze the financial impact of key operational cost control initiatives.
  • Lead Shrink Committee: In conjunction with the Region Vice President of Finance, lead the shrink committee by site and for the Region.
  • Assist with Monthly Forecast Performance: Assist the Region Vice President of Finance and Market Vice President of Finance with the monthly forecast performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics required. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of financial analyst and/or accounting experience required. Prior managerial experience preferred.
