Role Overview
The Revenue Analyst is accountable for executing revenue management strategies within a designated hotel to enhance financial performance in alignment with the hotel's objectives, brand marketing initiatives, and guest requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all revenue management protocols are effectively implemented, adhering to the daily directives of the Director of Revenue Management.
- Updating planning and quotations for group bookings, while promptly notifying the Director of any market deviations from established strategies.
- Assisting in achieving and surpassing the hotel's operational revenue targets.
- Collaborating with the Director of Revenue Management to develop strategies based on thorough analysis and leveraging the revenue management system.
- Executing strategies based on daily recommendations across distribution channels and evaluating system suggestions for accuracy, providing additional or revised proposals for optimization.
- Communicating necessary processes to the reservations and front office teams regarding booking quality and accurate data entry into the Property Management System (PMS).
- Regularly auditing data input quality (including segmentation and denial tracking).
- Updating the event database within the Revenue Management System (RMS).
- Conducting performance analysis of the hotel within the RMS to inform strategic decisions.
- Monitoring market trends and competitor pricing to inform future pricing strategies.
- Evaluating contract performance metrics (pricing, allotments, room sales) prior to renewal discussions.
- Supporting the preparation of the annual revenue budget.
