Position Overview
This role is integral to the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), specifically within the Office of External Affairs (OEA), focusing on Stakeholder Engagement and Events.

As a Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator, your contributions will be vital in disseminating information about OPIC's initiatives and their impacts. You will be responsible for developing written materials that effectively communicate OPIC's mission and achievements, as well as gathering and organizing data related to investments and their outcomes to ensure this information is accessible to a broad audience.

Key Responsibilities
As a Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator at the GS-07 level, your duties will include:
  • Providing administrative assistance for outreach events, which encompasses preparing briefing documents, background information, and post-event evaluations.
  • Managing invitations, RSVPs, and participant lists for OPIC events, ensuring timely and accurate communication with all attendees.
  • Coordinating event logistics, including venue selection, catering services, travel arrangements, audio-visual needs, and on-site support.
  • Facilitating outreach initiatives to engage essential external stakeholders, including private sector partners, non-profit organizations, and governmental bodies.

As a Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator at the GS-09 level, your responsibilities will expand to include:

  • Building and nurturing relationships with external partners, government representatives, and other organizations to enhance collaborative event opportunities and expand OPIC's network.
  • Assessing the success of events and engagement strategies through feedback collection, impact evaluations, and analytical reviews, providing recommendations for future enhancements.
  • Assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of complex and high-profile strategic events, such as conferences, workshops, seminars, and official engagements with both domestic and international stakeholders.
  • Overseeing comprehensive event logistics, including venue sourcing, vendor management, travel coordination, security arrangements, and on-site execution.
  • Managing event budgets to ensure that expenses remain within designated limits while maximizing value for the organization.
Additional Information
This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by AFGE, local 1534. Candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements and all eligibility and qualification criteria by the closing date of this announcement.
Education and Experience Requirements
Applicants may qualify at the GS-07 level through one of the following:
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal service, demonstrating skills in administrative support, event staffing, and external engagement.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum GPA requirement.
  • A combination of education and experience as outlined above.

For the GS-09 level, candidates must meet one of the following:

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level, showcasing abilities in managing event logistics and working with diverse communities.
  • A master's degree or equivalent graduate education in a relevant field.
  • A combination of education and experience as specified.
