About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an AVP, DEI Stakeholder Engagement Specialist. This is a critical role that will play a key part in building and driving key business objectives in support of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate the Carlyle DEI Leadership Network, ensuring that participating portfolio company leaders have the information and support they need to drive progress in DEI.
  • Program Management: Design and execute the quarterly Expert DEI Speakers Series for portfolio companies and CEO-only meetings, and manage the process for enrolling new CEOs into the network.
  • Board Diversity: Expand our network of potential board candidates, support our board sourcing partnerships, and assist deal teams in finding candidates.
  • Portfolio Support: Equip our deal teams and portfolio companies to effectively implement DEI efforts, including managing the roll-out of tools and information to support effective board oversight of DEI.
  • Internal Projects: Support key DEI Carlyle internal projects to build knowledge and advise the portfolio and support firmwide initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting, relationship management, client service, or member relations.
  • Strategic thinking and consulting skills.
  • Strong client-facing experience and abilities, including project planning, oversight, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when exposed to information and data of a sensitive nature.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, and an ability to clearly communicate nuanced ideas to a wide range of audiences.
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, a commitment to client service, and a professional demeanor.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Ability, personal motivation, and organization skills to work effectively in a virtual work environment.
