Position Overview:
The Washington State Democrats' Coordinated Campaign is looking for dedicated Community Engagement Coordinators to support our upcoming campaign cycle.

As we prepare for various critical races, including a contested Senate race and an open Governor's race, Community Engagement Coordinators will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our initiatives.

Reporting Structure:
These roles will report directly to Regional Field Directors.

This is a full-time position within the campaign cycle, classified as hourly and part of a collective bargaining agreement.

Work Schedule:
Evening and weekend availability will be necessary, especially as we approach the General Election.

Various locations in Washington State

Core Responsibilities:
Community Engagement Coordinators will:
1. Build and nurture strong volunteer networks, acting as liaisons within their assigned communities.
2. Demonstrate a steadfast commitment to achieving Democratic majorities at all levels within Washington State.
3. Collaborate inclusively with a diverse range of staff, activists, allies, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:
1. Experience in volunteer management, customer service, or other public-facing roles.
2. Previous political organizing experience as a fellow or volunteer is preferred.
3. Familiarity with voter outreach tools is advantageous.
4. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a metrics-driven environment.
5. Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruit, train, and manage volunteer leaders across the state.
2. Organize and execute direct voter contact events, including in-person and virtual outreach efforts.
3. Collaborate with local party organizations to support targeted candidates.
4. Establish relationships with community leaders to build coalitions for action.
5. Utilize various organizing tactics to expand our network of engaged volunteers.
6. Foster a positive and inclusive staff culture focused on problem-solving and collaboration.
7. Maintain strong relationships with local party leaders and activist groups.

Compensation and Benefits:
This position offers competitive hourly pay, with overtime compensation for hours worked beyond the standard workweek. Benefits include healthcare, stipends for phone and mileage, sick leave, bereavement leave, and paid holidays.
