Philanthropy Engagement Coordinator

Through comprehensive research, educational initiatives, and advocacy efforts, AWHONN empowers healthcare professionals who care for women, newborns, and their families.

Position Overview:

The Philanthropy Engagement Coordinator is instrumental in developing and maintaining strong relationships with donors to reinforce their commitment to AWHONN's mission. Working closely with the Director of Membership Development and other team members, this role will implement strategies to engage donors, improve donor satisfaction, and promote fundraising initiatives for the Every Woman, Every Baby (EWEB) charitable giving program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement fundraising, cultivation, and stewardship initiatives for individual donors across various levels.
  • Facilitate workplace giving campaigns in diverse sectors.
  • Achieve or surpass annual fundraising objectives and donor prospect engagement targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing and membership teams for effective fundraising campaigns.
  • Organize and oversee fundraising events and activities throughout the year.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and manage the fundraising database.
  • Provide administrative assistance to various departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, fundraising, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in database fundraising software.
  • Understanding of best practices in donor engagement and fundraising strategies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Genuine passion for maternal and child health advocacy.

Compensation:

A competitive salary of $55,000.
