Position Overview:
The Mayor's Office of Talent and Appointments (MOTA) is dedicated to addressing the needs of our community through effective collaboration with various District agencies. We are in search of dynamic individuals who thrive in a team environment and are committed to enhancing community relations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Service Coordination:** Establish and oversee the integration of services from multiple city agencies to address community concerns effectively.
2. **Work Plan Development:** Create and implement a strategic work plan aimed at resolving ongoing issues within neighborhoods, while continuously monitoring progress.
3. **Crisis Response:** Act promptly to critical incidents within assigned areas, including outside of standard working hours.
4. **Data Analysis:** Utilize data to identify priorities, recommend actions, and refine work plans to enhance service delivery.
5. **Interagency Collaboration:** Facilitate communication among District agencies to ensure swift responses to community issues and engage federal agencies when necessary.
6. **Community Engagement:** Collaborate with fellow specialists to devise strategies that foster community involvement and support service initiatives.
7. **Partnership Development:** Build relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and residents to strengthen service delivery and problem-solving efforts.
8. **Stakeholder Communication:** Act as a liaison, providing updates on project progress to community stakeholders, including civic groups and tenant associations.
9. **Reporting:** Prepare regular progress reports for management and participate in relevant meetings and training sessions.
10. **Advisory Role:** Serve as a resource for committees involved in planning and executing joint community efforts.

Qualifications:
Applicants should demonstrate a strong connection to the District of Columbia, with experience in community engagement across its various Wards. Candidates should possess:
- Knowledge of services provided by District agencies and community organizations.
- Familiarity with local civic groups and the ability to foster connections for comprehensive service programs.
- Skills in analytical methods to assess and interpret policies and service requirements.
- Proficiency in project management, data analysis, and report preparation.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Residency Requirement:
New appointees must be District of Columbia residents at the time of appointment or become residents within a specified timeframe. Maintaining residency throughout the appointment is mandatory.
