Position Overview
This role is integral to the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), specifically within the Office of External Affairs (OEA), focusing on Stakeholder Engagement and Events.

As a Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator, your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of OEA's initiatives, including the development of written content that effectively communicates OPIC's mission and achievements, as well as the collection and organization of data related to investments and their outcomes, ensuring this information is readily accessible.

Key Responsibilities
As a Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator at the GS-07 level, you will:
  • Provide essential administrative assistance for outreach activities, which includes preparing briefing documents, background materials, and follow-up reports post-events.
  • Manage the logistics of invitations, RSVPs, and participant lists for OPIC events, ensuring precise and timely communication with all attendees.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, travel arrangements, audio-visual needs, and on-site support.
  • Facilitate outreach initiatives aimed at engaging key external stakeholders, including private sector collaborators, non-profit organizations, and governmental bodies.

As a Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator at the GS-09 level, your role will expand to include:

  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with external partners, government representatives, and other organizations to enhance collaborative event opportunities and expand OPIC's network.
  • Assessing the success of events and engagement strategies through feedback collection, impact evaluations, and data analysis, while recommending enhancements for future endeavors.
  • Assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of complex and high-profile strategic events, such as conferences, workshops, seminars, and official engagements with both domestic and international partners.
  • Overseeing comprehensive event logistics, including venue sourcing, vendor management, travel arrangements, security planning, and on-site coordination.
  • Managing event budgets to ensure expenditures remain within approved limits while maximizing value for the organization.
Additional Information
This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by AFGE, local 1534. Candidates must meet specific eligibility and qualification criteria, including time-in-grade requirements. All applicants must provide documentation to support their educational claims and experience. This role may also allow for flexible work schedules and telework arrangements, subject to supervisory approval.
