This role is integral to the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), specifically within the Office of External Affairs (OEA), focusing on Stakeholder Engagement and Events.
As a Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator, your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of OEA's initiatives, including the development of written communications that effectively convey OPIC's mission and achievements, as well as the collection and organization of data related to investments and their outcomes, ensuring this information is readily accessible to a broad audience.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator at the GS-07 level, you will:
- Provide essential administrative support for outreach initiatives, which includes preparing briefing documents, gathering background information, and compiling post-event evaluations.
- Assist in managing invitations, RSVPs, and participant lists for OPIC events, ensuring clear and timely communication with all involved.
- Coordinate logistical arrangements for events, which involves selecting venues, arranging catering, organizing travel, and managing audio-visual needs, along with on-site assistance.
- Support outreach strategies aimed at engaging key external stakeholders, including private sector collaborators, non-profit organizations, and governmental bodies.
As a Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator at the GS-09 level, your role will expand to include:
- Building and nurturing relationships with external partners, government representatives, and various organizations to foster collaborative event opportunities and enhance OPIC's network.
- Assessing the success of events and engagement strategies through feedback mechanisms, impact evaluations, and analytical reviews, and suggesting enhancements for future endeavors.
- Facilitating the planning, coordination, and execution of complex and high-profile strategic events, such as conferences, workshops, seminars, and formal engagements with both domestic and international stakeholders.
- Overseeing comprehensive event logistics, which includes sourcing venues, managing vendors, organizing travel, planning security measures, and coordinating on-site activities.
- Managing budgets for events and engagements, ensuring that all expenditures align with allocated funds while maximizing value for the organization.
This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by AFGE, local 1534. Candidates must meet specific eligibility and qualification criteria as outlined in the job announcement.
