Reporting To: Young Adult Program Director

Position Summary:

The Young Adult Program Associate plays a crucial role in fostering the growth and engagement of our Young Adult Network. This position involves managing the Delegation Leaders Program and spearheading recruitment efforts, which may include travel to various locations. The Associate will also enhance our Young Adult Program by collaborating with other grassroots initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate recruitment efforts for all Young Adult Programs.
  • Oversee the Delegation Leaders Program, ensuring alignment with program objectives and effective communication.
  • Execute communication strategies and outreach initiatives to connect with young adults nationwide through educational and community networks.
  • Draft and disseminate communications, including emails and blog posts, to engage our Young Adult Network.
  • Maintain relationships through follow-up outreach within the Young Adult Program.
  • Provide administrative support for the Spring Lobby Weekend conference, acting as a liaison with key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate post-event follow-up actions after the annual Spring Lobby Weekend.
  • Assist with administrative tasks for the Advocacy Corps Program as needed.
  • Contribute to the planning of the Washington Summer Intensive.
  • Coordinate outreach and travel logistics for Young Adult Program alumni attending the Annual Meeting.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of two years in organizing, advocacy, or direct service roles (professional or volunteer).
  • Willingness to travel for program-related events and outreach.
  • Commitment to principles of anti-racism, justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Comfortable working within Quaker environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic setting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities.

Compensation and Work Expectations:

  • Salary range is competitive and commensurate with experience.
  • This is a temporary, full-time non-exempt role based on a 37.5-hour work week. Flexibility for remote, in-person, or hybrid work is available, with mandatory attendance at key conferences and retreats.
