About the Role

The Hartford is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Commercial Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy to drive growth and profitability in our Small Commercial business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective Independent Agencies to drive business growth and retention.
  • Build and execute a sales plan to achieve maximum production and profit goals in assigned territory.
  • Manage territory, including competitor analysis, market research, and sales administration.
  • Create demand and enable agents/producers to maximize the flow of desirable business to meet or exceed Hartford financial goals.
  • Follow a disciplined sales process and ensure consistent execution of Sales Excellence principles.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the assigned territory, including market conditions and competitor information.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents/producers to meet or exceed financial objectives.
  • Enable agents/producers to maximize revenue through the sale of Hartford products and services.
  • Exercise discipline and focus around flow management to ensure adequate flow and acceptable mix of business.
  • Create call plans to prioritize and leverage agency contact and activity.
  • Build actionable Agency Sales Plans that align with Hartford financial objectives.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of Small Commercial P&C sales and marketing experience, product knowledge, and sales skills.
  • Proven outstanding sales performance and a strong desire to win.
  • Experience with Agency training and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, ability to motivate people, and strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and travel within assigned territory.
  • A valid Driver's license is required, and a Company car will be provided.
What We Offer

The Hartford offers a highly competitive quarterly bonus, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is $82,960 - $124,440.
