Community Engagement Specialist

University City Housing (UCH) is a well-established firm located in Philadelphia, specializing in the acquisition, renovation, maintenance, and management of real estate for sustainable investment.

With a portfolio that includes over 4,000 residential units and 250,000 square feet of commercial space in Philadelphia and its neighboring areas, UCH has been a provider of quality living spaces and work environments since its inception.

UCH is in search of a dynamic and sociable Community Engagement Specialist to join our vibrant team at a full-service Clubhouse situated within our community at Summit Park Apartments.

We promote a culture of enjoyment and engagement among our residents, and this position plays a pivotal role in facilitating that experience. Our clubhouse features a fitness center, tennis courts, swimming pools, dining options, shuttle services, and a comprehensive events schedule.

Ideal candidates should possess an energetic, friendly demeanor, and a keen attention to detail.

This full-time position focuses on customer relations, marketing strategies, and event management expertise.

The main responsibility of this role is to serve as the brand ambassador for our residential communities, orchestrate events that foster resident participation, and enhance our social media presence.

You will play a crucial role in the onsite marketing efforts, assisting the marketing team in the development and execution of local initiatives aimed at resident engagement.


Previous experience in customer service is considered advantageous.

Key Responsibilities of the Community Engagement Specialist include:

  • Develop and oversee a monthly events calendar.
  • Act as the 'Manager on Duty' during the Clubhouse Manager's scheduled absences.
  • Plan and execute events, while networking with residents and guests at each occasion.
  • Prepare event proposals through timely submission of action plans.
  • Maintain weekly communication with the leasing and management offices regarding events for promotional support.
  • Assist the Summit Park Clubhouse Manager in coordinating fundraising activities.
  • Organize off-site events for residents.
  • Support property decoration efforts as needed.
  • Manage the setup, attendance, and breakdown of all events.
  • Conduct post-event analysis, including attendee metrics, costs, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Ensure all marketing materials adhere to brand standards.
  • Engage with users and respond to social media inquiries and comments in a positive and proactive manner.
  • Attend events and generate live social media content.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Flexibility in work hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • A positive attitude is essential.
  • Experience in event planning is a plus.
