About the Role

The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is seeking a highly skilled Community Engagement Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the Philadelphia Jewish community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relational Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with individuals, families, and underserved communities within the Kehillah, fostering a sense of belonging and connection to the Jewish community.
  • Donor Prospecting: Identify and introduce potential donors to the Jewish Federation's fundraising team, exploring philanthropic opportunities that align with the community's needs.
  • Leadership Development: Identify and engage leaders throughout the community, amplifying diverse voices and connecting them with leadership opportunities within the Jewish Federation.
  • Programs and Gatherings: Plan and execute large-scale and smaller events, promoting community engagement and demonstrating the Jewish Federation's presence in the community.
  • Jewish Federation Integration and Communications: Maintain a steady communications presence within the Kehillot, working closely with the Jewish Federation marketing team to craft and distribute compelling messaging.
Requirements
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple activities and priorities.
  • Jewish Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Jewish traditions and ability to lead Jewish events and connect effectively within the community.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, occasional Shabbat, holiday, and Sunday events, as needed.
